Team

After a range of experience working for various asset management companies, I wanted the new challenges that joining a bigger organisation would bring. I was therefore delighted to be able to join the very dynamic Private Client team at Clartan Associés in 2015.
I provide day-to-day support for our clients in the administrative and financial management of their resources. One of the ways in which I can add value for our clients is always to listen and be entirely open to their ideas so that we can rapidly develop the right solutions to achieve their goals.

After starting in fundamental financial analysis for investors, working with Professor Bertrand Jacquillat at the firm Associés en Finance, I was recruited as an investor by the Allianz group. I soon realised that the constraints involved with this type of structure were not compatible with my own vision of investment. By way of contrast, at Clartan Associés I found a client oriented basic management culture and a continuous searching for product excellence. What is more, I also found that there is a real entrepreneurial spirit at the company, which is still being nurtured, and a company culture where the development of the company and the person go hand in hand.

The major part of my career has been with the bank industry, mainly in the capital markets activities. Twelve years with Bank Indosuez where my last position was Head of Markets Activities of Banque Indosuez London, then twelve years with Credit Lyonnais group, where I had different positions as Head of Capital markets, the last being Credit Lyonnais in UK. In 2000 Nathalie Rachou and I decided to launch Topiary Finance, an asset management company based in London. We innovated with tailor made asset allocation, independent fund picking and fee transparency. At the end of 2014, we merged with Clartan Associés, with whom we share similar values and long term perspectives.

In 2006, after three years at KPMG entrusted with auditing missions and transactions for major international banks (the General Electric capital group, HSBC, Credit Suisse in particular), it was high time for me to play an active part. My project was to find a position where I could give a priority to my three sources of motivation and enrichment: finance, the analysis necessary for decision-making and thirdly, direct contact with clients. Capital management at Clartan Associés fully meets these three criteria. But it was in fact a fourth consideration that led to my decision to join this unique enterprise: the certainty that I would be participating in a human endeavour as part of a high quality team sharing the most important values. At each step of my career, both academic and professional, I have seen how working as a team enriches and has a “levelling-up” effect. It is precisely this spirit that is cultivated in our company. Every member of Clartan Associés contributes to the building of a company with strong, deep roots and which has great potential for growth.

After 7 years as the only permanent member of staff of an association, I joined an independent financial management firm. There I learned the basics of the profession: tax advice and personal asset management, asset allocation. It was then that I wanted to join a more heavyweight team and get closer to the product. At Clartan Associés I still prioritise working closely with private clients, placing great emphasis on facilitating their relations with our partners. My overriding objective: taking the client by the hand so that he has no administrative worries, we take care of everything!

My entire professional career has focused on financial asset management, primarily at Banca Intesa SanPaolo, Oddo BHF and Groupama.
When I met with the teams of Clartan Associés, I discovered a very discreet but extremely professional company, where everything is carefully thought through and implemented for the optimal management of the assets with which we are entrusted. As a result, we are able to build enduring relations with our partners and clients.
This professionalism is combined with a strong collective approach, both in terms of corporate governance and the management process: there is a strong desire to put the intelligence of each of us to work for the common good.
I was also won over by the deep sense of caring of all the staff I encountered.

A six month work placement at the end of my ESTP engineer training was an early opportunity to get to know this “shop”, as the Anglo-Saxons say. The company had only five members of staff at the time, was managing 20 million Euros and they used the Minitel to consult the prices! The human scale of the company, its reactivity, team spirit, a long-term view of client service and the entrepreneurial project really did win me over.
So I went back to Clartan Associés, after two years auditing at KPMG, in 1999; from certification to analysis of accounts, with in-depth studies of companies and an understanding of their DNA. A vast and lively universe of investment has been opened up to me. My taste for investigative work is today still as strong as ever.
I have not looked back since that time, still with the same values and the same prioritisation on the interests of the client; the shares being managed exceed the billion Euros, and Clartan Associés is more than 30 persons.

I joined Clartan Associés after an internship at the end of my studies. After gaining professional experience in wealth management and then asset management, it was only natural that I should take my place in Clartan Associés’ private clients team. I particularly enjoy the quality of the relationships formed with clients and the excellence built into the fund management process, as well as the caring atmosphere in the company.

My professional career started in 1982 in an auditing firm called SEEC. I was entrusted with auditing (audit office) in the subsidiaries of major groups but mostly with small and medium-sized businesses. I joined Rouvier Associés in 1988 to be part of a small team of three. From the beginning I took administrative and financial responsibility for the company. I am also one of its representatives (deputy managing director). Aside from these diverse responsibilities, my work for Clartan Associés remains principally oriented toward the sphere of financial management: collegial management of the Rouvier mutual funds and manager of part of the clientele under management authority.

On my return from the United States, a journey that combined finance, geopolitics and information technology, I joined Clartan Associés’ Private Wealth Management team in 2021. I discovered a team with a keen sense of client relations as well as high expertise in wealth engineering.
My job is to respond to our clients’ demands and to monitor the entire process, from their initial request to its fulfilment. I also help manage the company’s information technology division and provide support for the company’s external communications.
Education: Licences in history and geography from the University of Versailles and a Masters in geopolitics at La Sorbonne and the École Normale Supérieure (Ulm).

After 10 years working in textile purchasing I wanted a change of direction in my professional career, which I achieved by joining Clartan Associés in 2004. As part of the private client management centre I am one of the contacts for private clients, at the administrative level. I make sure that the clients' requests receive a rapid reply and are dealt with quickly and that their accounts are managed rigorously. I attach particular importance to continuous improvement of our procedures and internal systems. My daily concern: making sure that the client feels recognised and that we are attentive.

I worked for the BNP Paribas group for fifteen years before joining Clartan Associés in 2011. At each step of my career I have looked, as far as possible, for a supportive human environment, membership of a team that I respect and activities that combine analysis and contacts. My arrival at Clartan Associés has an extra dimension in that I am asked to fit in with a rather special form of organisation, with a degree of rigour and professionalism corresponding to the responsibilities of capital management for third parties, and a philosophy of sustained service that entails a long-term view. My training as an engineer and my professional experience in management control and looking after the clients of large multinational companies means that I am able to contribute to financial analysis and relations with our professional and institutional clients. Finally, I like to think that my British nationality adds a certain exotic island touch.

After my studies I worked for various companies in posts with different functions, such as client relations, sales administration and accountancy. Since 2006 I have been working as an assistant at Clartan Associés in a variety of different roles, client reception, the administrative processing of Private Client Management files as well as taking part in some commercial events. In my view Clartan Associés is a very human company as it pays a great deal of attention to its staff. In my case, returning from maternity leave, I was able to resume my activity on a part-time basis so that I could still spend as much time as possible with my daughter. I greatly appreciate this arrangement, as it allows me a balance in my life that is very motivating.
